About
Mupu School has a long and treasured history in the Santa Paula area. We are a one-school district, established in 1879, and have served the families of the Santa Paula Canyon for over 141 years. During that time, Mupu School has maintained its reputation for being a school of high academic and behavioral standards.
We can't imagine a better place for a child to learn and grow. We hope you agree!
Our Background
Established in 1879, the Mupu Elementary School District is 141 years old. It first served the ranching families of the Santa Paula Canyon and in later years expanded to include the housing tracts and houses along Ojai Road (HWY 150). Mupu School is the second smallest of five small districts in Ventura County. We are known for our high academic standards, a strong family-oriented learning community, and for caring about every single scholar who walks through our doors. Welcome to the Mupu tradition!
Schoolwide Culture
Mupu is a school where scholars enjoy learning and are encouraged to be the best that they can be. Our small size and family-like setting enable everyone to know each other and to develop close ties. The children at Mupu receive a high quality, standards-based education—with lots of care and individual attention. You’ll find Mupu a nurturing and safe place for your child to learn and grow.
Our Mission
At Mupu School our goal is to ensure that all scholars achieve academic excellence. All members of our learning community are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment that fosters academic achievement, personal growth, social responsibility, and proficiency in technology.
Vision Statement
