We are only a few days away from our first day of school and we are excited about everything that is happening here at Mupu it has been a very busy summer!
Construction Update:
1. The field was completely torn up and new sprinkler systems were put in. Hydroseed was sprayed two weeks ago and our field is looking green and beautiful; however it will be still several more weeks before we can start using the field. In the meantime it will be fenced off to ensure that the grass grows strong.
2. The basketball court blacktop was slurried and repainted as were the basketball poles. This area will be accessible to students at the start of school.
3. Our play structure is well on its way to being installed. The ground work was done and the construction crew has been working on the footings for placement of the equipment. The goal is to have the equipment installed next week. The rubberized surface will be laid out on August 26th and will take a week to cure. The plan is to have a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 3rd in the morning to celebrate the opening of our new play structure! More information will be sent out in the next weeks.
